Oh my god does he know what he spokes, that's why people aren't went to psychologist or a counselor because they consider that therapy takes long time and due to less not less actually have zero knowledge what clinical or counselling psychologist do and how they treat psychological disorders not even in india psychologist study for long duration as well as in America (usa) they study for long duration and to start a carrer independently over there they took long residency #mentalhealthmatters

As a psych grad, This is the worst!! People just like arrangements, aesthetics, etc and just assume this is "satisfying their OCD". This is so annoying. What does satisfying ocd even mean?? And to top it off, TV shows glorify OCD like cute traits, like in Friends and Modern Family. Do these shows represent diseases like diabetes or heart condition in a cute way?? Do we go around saying "oh my diabetes and heart attack is satisfied"?? No!! Diabetes, heart attack and other physical disorders cause PAIN AND HARM. OCD is a Mental Disorder, just like Physical Disorders. So annoying!!!

I prefer women therapist it's easier but depends on person idk it's kind of easy to open up to them they seem like they'll listen more amd more empathetic

Yep !! people tend to look for female therapist as we all consider females more warm and understanding by default nature and female therapist tend to be more knowledgable in terms of emotional relationships and also very supportive too that’s the reason people prefer a female Therapist/ Psychologist generally For Better understanding and opening up to them .

There is not just clinical psychology . Psychology is a vast field and all the humanities student please relax you got Sports psychology, Media psychology and Ofcourse you can become an HR in a company it's about the skills you earn in the degree you have .. Good luck ❤❤

It depends upon a particular case - for example if it is related to my sexual anxieties then a clinical male psychologist is my go to person but for a general case like suffering from a particular set of anxieties that are unisex a female therapist is whom I found more pro-active and following than a male one , maybe it's just I live in a particular part of world but this is what I feel and thus my 2 cents on the topic
